Following their success with Strauss’ The Bat last year, GSOV returns to Moe Plaza with Patience, Gilbert & Sullivan’s sparkling satire of Victorian society and the flamboyant Aesthetic Movement.

The story follows the village’s maidens, who have abandoned their bewildered military suitors in favour of the dramatic poet Reginald Bunthorne - a man secretly faking his artistic persona to win their admiration. Meanwhile, the gentle milkmaid Patience finds herself caught between Bunthorne and her impossibly perfect childhood sweetheart, Archibald Grosvenor.

With witty characters, playful romantic entanglements, and some of Sullivan’s most charming music, Patience remains one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most delightful and entertaining works.
